Show your bold side & think outside of your comfort zone to create a bold & beautiful statement with a dark accent wall!

When choosing a darker accent wall color, I chose a Matte/Flat finish I found the color to look richer and it provided better coverage. I used two coats but the quality of the first coat covered better than I expected. The paint used for this project was Glidden Premium paint in the color Onyx, purchased @homedepot.

For this paint project you will need:
- an angled paint brush,
- a paint tray
- painters tape
- 1-2 rollers
- your choice of paint color
- a ladder
- if you have higher ceilings then include a paint extender pole to attach to your paint roller for higher to reach places.

Let the first coat of paint fully dry (about 2-3hrs) then add a second coat. Prior to the allowing the final/second coat of paint to dry completely(or until it feels tacky) peel painters tape off edges carefully in a 45 degree angle, this will prevent peeling paint when removing tape off of the edges.

Use your own personal style and creativity to add a nice touch of décor to your bold accent wall. I went with Modern Farmhouse touches to match my living room décor. I was skeptical but after completing this project I absolutely love the Boldness and am enjoying all the compliments!!
